Morocco E-Visa — For UAE Residents Who Need a Visa
If your nationality is NOT on the visa-free list, the Morocco e-visa is the fastest and simplest way to get your visa from the UAE. The e-visa is processed entirely online through the official Accés Maroc portal — no embassy visit, no passport submission, no biometrics.
Who qualifies for the Morocco e-visa from the UAE?
The e-visa system has three eligibility categories:
Category A — Eligible by passport nationality:
If you hold a passport from India, Benin, Brunei, Cambodia, Guatemala, Israel, Jordan, Laos, Thailand, or Vietnam — you can apply for the e-visa directly using only your passport. No residence permit from another country is required.
Category B — Eligible by UAE residence permit:
If you hold ANY passport that requires a visa for Morocco AND you have a valid UAE residence visa with at least 180 days remaining — you qualify for the e-visa. This covers the majority of UAE residents who need a Morocco visa, including Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Nigerian, Syrian, Egyptian, and all other nationalities with valid UAE residence.
Category C — Eligible by valid multiple-entry visa:
If you hold a valid multiple-entry sticker visa (not electronic) from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Japan, Norway, or a Schengen country — with at least 90 days remaining — you can apply regardless of your nationality or where you live.
For most UAE residents, Category B is the route. If you have a valid UAE residence visa with 180+ days remaining, you are eligible for the Morocco e-visa regardless of your passport nationality.
Morocco E-Visa Details
- Entry type: Single entry
- Maximum stay: 30 days
- Visa validity: 180 days from issue date — enter Morocco within this period

Documents Required for Morocco E-Visa
The application is 100% online. You need digital scans of:
- Valid passport: At least 1 blank page, valid for minimum 90 days from application date
- Passport bio page scan: Clear colour scan
- Recent photograph: 35x45mm, colour, white background, no glasses or headwear (unless religious)
- UAE residence visa: Must have at least 180 days remaining from application date

Embassy Sticker Visa — When You Cannot Use the E-Visa
A small number of applicants in the UAE cannot use the e-visa system and must apply through the Royal Embassy of Morocco in Abu Dhabi with a physical passport submission. This applies if:
- Your UAE residence visa has less than 180 days remaining — you do not qualify for Category B
- You are in the UAE on a visit visa (not a residence visa)
- You do not hold a qualifying multiple-entry visa from the USA, UK, Schengen, etc.
- You hold a diplomatic, service, or non-ordinary passport
Embassy visa requirements are heavier:
- Original passport (6+ months validity, 2 blank pages)
- UAE residence visa and Emirates ID (3+ months validity)
- Two passport-sized photos (white background, 35x45mm)
- No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from your employer
- Original stamped bank statement (3 months, minimum AED 10,000 balance)
- Confirmed round-trip flight itinerary and hotel booking
- Travel insurance
- Invitation letter (optional but recommended)
